Mar 25 - at a loss for words

I've been staring at the title line, not sure what to call the blog, at a loss for words ... perhaps my coffee hasn't taken effect yet !

After I got back from Mass, long after I got back from Mass, Jeffrey headed to Disney. I expect that they got there around 11am. I think that they were home around midnight, give or take -- a full day -- but I might be wrong about the time.

I went for a bike ride, heading north for a change into the WNW wind. There was just enough N in the wind to make the trip south a blast but going west over the Port Orange bridge a struggle.

As I got close to the New Smyrna Beach municipal airport, I could wee why they had the right-hand lane blocked earlier in the day. It was being used for parking as the air show was underway. Small planes were zooming overhead, skimming the runway and back up, loop-the-loop, flying upside down, spewing smoke ... a great show. Further south on the grass-covered area of the airport, rides and parked cars filled the space. While this entertainment was dubbed the "balloon fest", the winds were much to strong for hot air balloons, but that didn't stop the air show.

As I rode south along US 1, I had been gradually catching up to a cyclist. He pulled over to watch the show; I rode on. I probably should have stopped but I get bored by small-plane antics. I would have stopped for supersonic fighters with aferburners, more my style.

Sandy cooked and shopped. We had flounder for dinner, along with rice and peas. The rice was a novel mixture of white, brown and wild strains.

Today ... not sure. I'd originally intended that we'd go boating, but it depends on how soon the crowd gets moving. Perhaps today should be a beach day, since that's less demanding, letting them recover from the late day yesterday. We can go boating tomorrow. The weather prediction, at this point, has no rain in the forecast and temps in the low 80's stretching out.

We'll see ... Onward we go ...
