Jan 24 - uneventful

When you get right down to it, from when we left the cottage on Tuesday a.m. everything went like clockwork.

To Barrie, drop off Sandy at David's, pick up fan & shroud at Georgian BMW
To Parry Sound, get fan & shroud installed at Canadian Tire
To Stef's, drop off card for Lauren and gift for Stef
To Erie, La Quinta for the night
To Orangeburg SC, Country Inn & Suites for the night
To New Smyrna Beach, an easy 5 hour drive without stops
Beds delivered for River Room 1 hour later

Sandy crashed a little yesterday while I got caught up on computer stuff for Randonneurs Ontario and paid some bills.  I then made a quick trip to Publix and picked up some pork chops for dinner, which I was able to grill WEARING SHORTS !!

The only other thing that I did yesterday was give the car another power wash, trying to remove as much salt as possible from the body, undercarriage (read brakes, suspension etc) and inside the engine compartment.

Today's another day.  I'm going for a bike ride !

I haven't called my doctor yet to make an appointment for the shoulder.  I'll probably leave that until Monday and see what a few days of warm weather, no hauling wood, no hauling luggage etc etc does for me.

Joyce arrives today.  Her cough is, if anything, worse than Sandy's.  She was at the ER in Miami Beach last night.  Perhaps I should get-outa-dodge ?
