Jan 30 - it's all about survival

I headed out on my bike just before 7am and was back home after 3:30.  The trip south was all about surviving, the gusty wind often slowing me down to 9 mph.  For the first half of the way home, I sailed.  After that the wind was moderating to more normal levels and it was just a good tailwind.

Brevard County, which starts about 15 miles south, has clearly saved money on its road cleaning.  I was riding on glass for most of the way.  I was surprised that I only got one flat and that happened about half-way back on the northbound leg.  I'll have to inspect those tires since I suspect that there are many more cuts.

That completes another R12.  I'll get that filed and underway shortly.

I really hurt yesterday, a product of laying flooring and all the squat-jumps etc. that I had done with John the prior day.  My upper body hurt too, not sure why since we didn't do much work there.

I'm back with John this a.m.  I wonder whether we'll be able to find enough exercises -- it's hard with the shoulder issue.  My first physio appointment isn't until a week Monday.

Sandy had made the quick trip to/from Miami airport the day before with Joyce, taking most of her day.  Yesterday she did a few things around the house, got her hair done and did some shopping.  Her cold, which seemed to have been on the way out, has reappeared.  She may have developed a sinus infection.  Today she has a couple of appointments at the dermatologist, facial and annual check-up.

Onward ...
