Feb 16 - thinning out and cooling down

Indeed.  We -- Jason et al and I, headed out at the same time yesterday.  I went biking and Jason headed to Orlando.  The temperature was in the mid 60's, so that was ok, but the wind was over 20mph from the WNW.  It was hard work !  Heading home was great but it was quickly cooling off, the harbinger of things to come.  This morning the temperature was down to 29F ... it remains to be seen how Sandy's garden will fare.  It probably wasn't cold enough to start cutting down the bananas but she might have lost some flowers.

Although Sandy had picked up shrimp earlier in the day, going to the NSB market with Lorraine, I felt like going out .. I know, again.  We had Sushi at the restaurant in the Publix mall.  Perhaps I'll learn one of these days.  I've never seen service sooo slow and Sashimi sooo small.  We're hoping that the "old" Sushi place will re-open on Flagler like it's supposed to on March 1.  This is the restaurant that used to be in the strip mall close to the Saxon house.

What else ?  Nothing really.

Today ... back to some chores.  I've got lots of finishing touches to do vis-a-vis the hardwood floor. I need to pick up a screen slider for the kitchen -- hardware broken on the old one and not, in my opinion, worth fixing at the price of a new one.

I'm in the middle of a Treasurer's Report for tomorrow evening's Randonneurs Ontario conference call.  I'll finish that off shortly.

What else ... can't think of anything.

Our next confirmed visitor is Jerry Christensen, expected to be here March 10-18.  Kylie & her friend Beth now have airline tickets and will be here for their March Break from Tuesday to Tuesday, March  12-19.  They are flying Southwest from Buffalo to BWI to Orlando.  I had nixxed a non-direct flight but Beth's Mom didn't want to pay the price for Allegiant.  I guess that it's ok since there's two of them.  Hopefully flights will cooperate. 

Nancy and Ron might drop in some time in-between, but nothing confirmed there.  Mariadela and Leonas will be in South Florida in-between as well and Sandy might go down to have lunch with Mariadela.
