Apr 16 - one after another after another

The day started off with trainer John, and that went as well as usual, partly good and partly frustrating due to the shoulder.  I always seem to be able to do more with him, because the shoulder stays warmed up.

Back home for a few minutes only, I caught up with email and then left with Mary and John for her dentist appointment.  The dentist is just over the US 1 bridge on SR 44 going westward, so a pretty short drive once I knew where I was going.  I dropped them off around 9:40 and picked them up around 11am.  She had quite a successful "meeting" with the dentist; he ground down the sharp edge of her chipped tooth and provided a prescription rinse.  She's "good to go" now !

After I dropped them off, I went to the post office and picked up a piece of registered mail -- an HDMI-to-RCA cables(s).   I haven't tested it out yet.

A little bit of computing later and lunch and I was off to meet with an accountant.  He gave me a piece of good tax advice and ... get this ... isn't going to charge me.   He said that he'd charge me if and when I came to him with a "real problem".  Of course I was only there 10 minutes, most of which was pleasantries and then my incredulous "that works ?".  Sometimes the seemingly complex has a simple solution, even with the IRS.

From there I went to the grocery store and fish store, picking stuff up for dinner.  Home again for a few minutes, I then was off to the orthopod -- that will take some time to do a full report but the visit was mostly successful in my books.  Time will tell.  I tried to then pick up a prescription but failed.  The pharmacy was having trouble with United Healthcare.  Hopefully the prescription will be ready today.

Back home for a few minutes, I was off again, but this time with Abby and John for a walk.  By the time we got home, Harris and Debbie had arrived.  We snacked, chatted, ate dinner, chatted, ate desert, chatted ... a great evening.

The highlights of the dinner, other than the company of course, were the salmon and leek pie, one of my favorites, and Sandy's incredible key lime pie -- hand squeezed.  Mmmmm.  This is one of about two types of pie to which I'm drawn, tart and delicious !

The day was mostly done.  I watched DWTS along with Mary and John for a few minutes as I iced the shoulder and then hit the sack.

I'm about to go biking, plan on being back around 10am or so and we'll go boating by 11am.  It will be a busy day.

Onward !
