It cooled right down. It's good that we did the warm weather activities the day before.
It was mostly a do-nothing day. I spent much of the day struggling with balancing the books for Randonneurs Ontario and I'm still not finished. All the ins-and-outs are balanced to the bank account but I cannot get the Bank Rec or Statement of Retained Earnings to work. It's not entirely clear which transactions from the year before were accrued, which is part of my problem. Perhaps today with a clear mind I'll find the error(s). As a last resort I'll ask Jim Griffin for help, but I'm not sure that he's back before the meeting on September 14th.
There was a lot of laughter from upstairs for a while. They (Sandy, David, Kim, Megan) were watching my Dad's videos.
David and I pulled the Bayliner out of the water -- there was quite a queue at the ESS Narrows. You'd think that we were on Lake Simcoe on a busy day. Alex complains about that. It's in the barn now though and I'll push it back into position today. I'll likely siphon some of the gas out before I do that.
Today I'll put the Whaler into the boathouse as well as the kayaks, take the Muskoka chairs up to the garage, pack clothing and both cars, may get to the oil change that is due on the X5, etc. etc. While that's underway I will let some computer backups run that should have run last night but I'd forgotten to take the "#" off of the line in Crontab (Linux) and they didn't run because the "#" makes them comments.
We had the rest of the chicken legs for dinner that Sandy had picked up for deep frying earlier in the summer. This time I did them on the grill. Broccoli and Sandy's white and wild rice completed the picture.
David, Kim and Megan hit the road around 4:30 and were home in typical time.
Tomorrow we hit the road. I'll be turning on the SPOT, if anyone is interested in seeing where we are at any point in time. If we stand still for too much time, assume that the batteries have gone dead or that I forgot to turn it on. Ha.
Onward !
