Sep 26 - destruction and organization

I did a few things, including removing the last of the backsplash pieces and starting some prep in the garage, but my main activity was biking.  The wind was supposed to be from the West but that turned out to be incorrect.  Northwest is more like it.  I'd gone south and it was a real struggle heading north into a very gusty crosswind.  However, that's the way that it goes.  I'd still rather be on the bike than be removing granite !

Sandy started emptying cupboards, filling Vic's carts.  She opted for the many miles approach, leaving the carts in our bathroom and walking back and forth.  Why ?  I'll never know.

We were invited to dinner with Harris and Debbie so off we went a little after 6pm.  Harris had made soup and it was great, just right for my re-hydration needs !  I had beer rather than wine, same reason.

There's still more stuff in the cupboards to be removed, but not much.  I have to deal with the masks etc. up high and that might entail some wiring, since I think that the lighting encroaches in the garage cut-off area.  Plumbing will mostly wait until early Monday a.m. or late Sunday, but I just might do something at the wet bar ... we'll see.  What else ... oh, I did start un-wiring & organizing the TV in the living room and other than labeling wires for easy re-attachment, I'm probably ready to remove the TV, get Sandy's help to move the shelves and units on them (DVD player and such), to a temporary home in the bedroom.

I'll take the doors from the front closet over to Habitat for Humanity today and anything else that's accumulated.  The carpets need cleaning and rolling up.  I've got an ortho appointment at 10:40, so that will likely take an hour.  I've got wine to pickup at Peter's.  I'm sure that the day will be full.

Onward ?
