We're ready for D-Day -- Destruction Day, which starts this a.m., Sep 30. Sandy has cleared everything out and I'm about to finish my coffee and turn off the water, start disconnecting plumbing at the kitchen sink.
The living room rug is in the X5, ready to go in for cleaning. As far as I'm concerned (AFAIC ?) they can keep it for a few weeks ! But I know that it's going to be back and in the way before we know it. In Radnor it was in the dining room and saw very little traffic. At Saxon and here it's been in a heavy traffic area. It will be interesting to see the rug clean again.
The living room floor space is going to be so much larger, with the removal of the staircase, that it doesn't fit anymore. I think that Sandy is actually thinking of putting that rug in the water-facing bedroom upstairs.
It's kind of crowded in our bedroom. I'll have to take some pictures. I did manage to watch some Netflix last night though :).
Vic's guys (kitchen) are supposed to be here at 7:30. The guy who bought the kitchen, 8:00. I don't know about Jim (main contractor). Jeff (tile) is coming on Wednesday. Yes, it's going to be a continuous party !
