Oct 30 - painting done

Now I'm watching it dry !

The doors took almost as much time as the walls since the old paint had to be scraped off. They'd been started two days before but yesterday was finishing up.  The painter was here until after 6:30 tidying up -- putting on door handles etc. -- and cleaning up.  They'll be back this morning to do a few touch-ups and take the rest of their stuff away.  As with most projects here, they beget more work for me.  There are a couple of backs-of-doors that are left for me -- our bedroom and the garage.

I got out of the house though and did go riding with Judith.  She's on a regular schedule with her ex vis-a-vis looking after their son, so she's keen on getting in as many miles as possible.  She, her ex and both sets of parents live in DeLand, so the kid leads an interesting life !  He's the same age as Emma.

On the new baby front, the adoption process has many emotional speed bumps for all concerned, Sara and Jeffrey as well as the birth mother.  All we can do is cross our fingers, pray and provide emotional support and advice.

I hung the new TV off the wall in the bedroom and seem to have sorted out the wifi connection issues.  When all the walls were open it would have been easy to run a cat5 cable down to that area, well easier.  I could also use one of those signal-over-AC things, if necessary.  In fact, I think that I have that hardware that Riley left me ... hmmm.

I've got lots to do today -- hang fans, install ceiling grates, do some patching around electrical cover plates, on and on.  I should also get over to Harbor Freight and use some coupons that are about to expire and hit Peter's for some wine ... it goes on.

Sandy's got her work cut out for her too, major cleaning up.

Jason is supposed to arrive today, staying until Sunday when they head over to their rental in the Orlando area.  He posted last night that they had made it to Rock Hill.

I heard from Bonnie; she's having computer connection problems but did manage to send me an email.  I'm not sure what's happening there.

What else ...  don't know.

Onward !
