Dec 8 - on the water again

Believe it or not, it's been three months.  Amazing.  All that nice weather down the drain during our reno.

Anyway, it was a great day on the water.  Abby was happy with out choice of activities.  I wonder if she'll be as happy when she finds herself in snow and freezing temps ?  We'll see.  At least her fur is growing thicker and thicker, but probably not quickly enough !

There was a huge barge-like boat out there coming back in the channel and dithering about in the inlet the entire time.  It said "Core of Engineers" ... "US ARMY".  I think that they were doing something with the buoys, but not sure.  The sandbars are always moving.

We've only got a few days left which will include a couple of appointments, a tiny bit of shopping, a couple or three bike rides and lots of packing.  It may or may not include the city's final inspection; haven't heard from Jim yet.  I suspect that he'll want to come and see before calling them.

Sandy and Marda did a "house tour" on the weekend and found one house with the almost identical staircase.  Of course Sam did that one too.  That lady wants to come and see our house.   We're going to save any tours of here -- that lady and Riley/Dolly the prior owners -- until late January when we've finished the kitchen lighting and back splash.

I took the Harley out yesterday for a 70 mile run.  I do declare that it's more tiring that pedaling.  It doesn't work up much of an appetite though !  I got back just before 5pm and the sun was getting low on the horizon.  I was thoroughly chilled.

We had shrimp, sauteed spinach and rice; our normal Sunday fare.  The shrimp weren't local this time since the seller wasn't at the Saturday Market.  I found them quite good; Sandy likes the local ones better.

Today ... likely riding.  The weather is supposed to be a repeat with temps in the mid 80's and wind from the south.  I need to soak up this weather before we head north !

Onward !
