Jan 13 - but I'm retired !

How can I possibly feel like I'm falling behind ?  Behind what ? 

So I'm late with another blog, objective being "first thing", what's new ?

I diddled with the car some more yesterday.  The A/C is on and off.  There's one of the sensors that's clearly creating a problem.  I'll get it fixed before it gets really hot here or I"m in trouble.  On the positive side, that engine compartment is getting really clean !

I hung a couple of pictures -- the newly framed dining room picture and Stef's wood art.  They both look great.  Sandy picked up a 5x8 rug from Home Depot just to try out the size and now it's going back. She knew that the color wasn't going to work, just wanted to try out the size.  She also ordered, online, another leather chair similar to mine to help "flesh out" the room.    Supposedly the new kitchen table is on the way so pretty soon we'll be all set ?  Don't know.  I've still got organizing to do in the loft/den where stuff is scattered on the floor. 

Oh yes, I did take down the Christmas lights day before yesterday.  This time I gave them a spray and wash and hung them in a bundle to dry. 

Sandy spent a lot of time working in the garden yesterday, weeding and doing clean-up.  It wasn't as bad since we were only gone for a month and it's a month of slow growth, unlike the summer where things seemingly grow FEET in a month (at least the vines do !).

Today I was supposed to go riding but there's a big cloud over top of us now dumping water. 

Oh yes, I also spent some time yesterday with the new CCN site for Randonneurs Ontario, giving it a critique.  I'm not happy with it.  It has security issues, in my opinion, and it's clunky. 

I turned off the Bell long distance up north, annoyed that I have to give them 30 days notice.  It's just a money grab.  I also turned off Xplornet but still have to pay them $20 per month, mostly for equipment rental.  I sure hope that there's going to be competition at some point ! 

We watched another episode of The Good Wife and Law and Order and I watched a couple of episodes of Doctor Who. 

Isn't our life exciting ?

Onward ... let's see what today brings ...
