Yes, but before that, biking ... of a sort.
I really just wanted a short time on the bike but it turned into a longer time away, due to a bike problem. A one hour outing turned into two when my chain got wedged between my spokes and the cassette. I mean really wedged. I had to remove the rear derailleur, take the chain apart and take the wheel off, chain attached, to deal with it. I gradually worked the chain out, link by link, but the last part was really stuck until someone gave me a hand, holding the wheel while I pulled on the chain. I even had my cassette removal tool with me but no wrench.
That set the stage ... missed breakfast and seemed behind for the next little while.
We took a taxi into town and arranged tours of Holyrood, Edinburgh Castle and the Royal Britannia. Bus tours took us around. With some on-and-off sprinkles, we left the Castle until this morning, where we're about to go. The Britannia was fascinating, a BIG boat, 300 crew for so few guests, but hey, the Queen is a special guest ! The boat is now decommissioned and a tourist attraction; a busy attraction.
Between things, we ate at a pub downtown and then had dinner at a pub nearby our hotel. Ross from Hemmingford came over from Dundee where he lives and had dinner with us. He's been here for 14 years without a trip home. The conversation was 50/50 what's happening in both places.
We've now booked for tomorrow night in Kingussie, close to Lock Ness / Inverness. Tonight we stay put.
Onward !

check those spokes. I had this happen on one of my wheels but not as stuck and I broke two spokes in the weeks after as they were cut.
also check your derail hanger as that may be bent from the trip.
