Matthew continues to graduate. Intubated --> CPAP --> nasal cannula (as of 2am last night). They are stepping down the flow on the cannula and then that's it - currently going from 4 to 3, and when it's 2 we can finger feed him.
Sara is recovering - more lucid but still constantly falling asleep. "This must be what it's like to have narcolepsy" she says. She's successfully farted this morning so no doubt the nurses will be delivering a 7 course celebratory meal. Oh yeah - and they want her to walk this morning. Cut through her abs ... Sheesh - but Sara remembers the aggressive push to walk last time greatly minimized her healing time.
All goes well. By the end of the day maybe we'll have Sara walking and Matthew in the room with us.
