Sep 27 - waiting for drop bags

The problem with finishing up quickly, of course, is that the drop bags are organized around the last rider. That wasn't a problem for me, per se, because I've got to stop in the Toronto area on the way north anyway. Jerry, on the other hand, would have left earlier.

We headed over to the ride start/stop around noon and found out that three more riders had come in during the intervening 13 hours. 45, give or take, were still on the course. The first batch of bags came in while we were there so we grabbed those. I was also picking up bags for Ken Bonner and Doug Migden who were staying at the same hotel.

The remaining bags weren't due until after 4pm. I picked those up on the way back to the hotel from Mass late afternoon and then joined a group for dinner.

Jerry and I both were awake shortly after 2am and he headed out. I made coffee, had a shower, and hit the road myself. I'm now at the Kentucky welcome center on I65.

I will be getting to the hotel in Burlington tonight, if all goes well.

Onward ...
