Nov 2 - lost a day somewhere

It was another shelving day.  I'd bought one of the wooden Closet Maid packages for the upstairs bedroom on the river.  It had a real funky setup with wire shelves.  I should have taken a picture !  Anyway, that took a couple of hours in the a.m. and by the time I was finished, my stomach was feeling a little funky -- must have come from the wire shelves.  Usually a slightly upset stomach will be calmed with food (for me) so I had my lunch, sandwich and some broccoli.

Then things started really going downhill.  I went to the bedroom and snoozed for a while.  Running a low grade fever, I was alternately hot and cold, had to get up quickly at times to avoid waves of nausea.  Perhaps it was the African pavilion at Epcot ?

That went on until, oh, about 6am.  At some point I took a Tylenol as I hurt everywhere ... my stomach reacted to that.  I never had to speak to the Great White Phone, but came close several times.

I told Sandy that she'd be eating dinner by herself so she made Kraft Dinner, aka Mac-n-cheese.  Feeling a little better about then, I went to Publix and picked up a few cans of soup -- chicken soup is always good for you, right ?  I kept that down but it was touch and go.  An hour or so ago this morning, to celebrate 18 hours of feeling yucky, my stomach cramps seemed to be easing.  Right now I'm nursing my way though coffee.  If I can hold down our strong coffee then I'll have a little breakfast.

Where did I pick this up ?  Was it something that I ate ?  When ?  It's almost like delayed reaction food poisoning ... reminds me of how I felt the day before Paris-Brest-Paris in 2011.

I had intended to do some more shelves in the garage yesterday.  I may or may not get to that in the next couple of days.

The weather is improving; going up to 74 today, still windy though.

Onward !
