I rode yesterday, didn't do much else of note until after I'd gone to bed. I was back up at 11:45 p.m., ready to monitor what was happening with the Sunshine 1200k registration site. It came up as expected and the registrations started rolling in.
We now have over 50 registration; haven't sold out, thank goodness. I didn't want to have to deal with a sell-out. If we sell out later in the day or tomorrow, that's ok, but within the first few hours, not nice. That's in large part why I've opened registration to 75 riders, as I know that some of those registering in the first wave won't be able to do the ride for one reason or another.
We also have a few of what I'd call anomalies -- data collection that didn't work quite as expected. Gender = none, ok, I can figure that out in most cases; no selection for bike transport -- could be a problem, need to chase that down, etc. I had some back-and-forth with a couple of people in the midnight to1am time slot who had some problems, but they were sorted out. I was worried at that point that we'd sell out before they could complete their registration, thus having to manufacture a slot for them.
Sandy worked most of the day shopping, cleaning etc. We've got in-laws visiting today ... not our in-laws, but Stef's. They've been vacationing in Vero Beach south of us and will be stopping by on their drive north sometime late morning and for lunch. That should be fun.
Onward ...
