Jul 3 - fishing

First outing this year and I'm rewarded with a 3lb 5oz largemouth !  I wonder how big the one was before that who broke my line or the other one that pulled my rod down into the water as it dashed under the boat ?  Perhaps it was the same fish.

I dawdled around in the a.m. and then went for a ride.  Naturally I felt strong, with a few days off after that SR600k, but it's still slow going into the wind on that rough road 522.  It felt good to get out again although my butt wasn't doing well on those sensitive patches of new skin.  I should have put some sort of bandage over them for protection ... but they survived.

I'm ripping movies and adding them to Plex.  The Handbrake product that George pointed out to me is working well.  At this point I'm only ripping movies that I put onto DVD long ago, recorded from TV.  I might get back into that with the Panasonic DVD recorders and build up my library.  Will they ever be watched again ?  Who knows, but there are some gems.

In other news ... not much.  There are many people in but it still seems quiet.  We can hear the work continuing on Donnie's cottage but the Davies aren't in.  I don't know if Redick's are in but everyone else (Brooks onwards) down that way is in residence.  There's no action at Bob's -- he's getting a knee replaced, so it will be quiet there.  Next one over is quiet; on the point are in, saw their dog wandering around our property early yesterday.  Shears are in.

I was down to see Wayne day before yesterday.  He's having some water problems after the blasting; seems that his water has more iron / rust than before.  There was no testing done so that's going to be hard to deal with / hard to prove one way or the other.  I've notified the MTO.

There's this lady who always walks the road and never looks up when you drive by.  Most people acknowledge, wave or nod, but not her.  Yesterday as I rode my bike, she waved and mouthed hello or something ... I guess that she likes us when we're under our own power but not otherwise.

Onward ?
