I like months where I don't have to adjust my watch. The day afterwards, the date on my watch is still ok.
Here's something interesting -- goes with Nana's French Toast ! -- http://www.manitoulin.ca/2016/03/30/research-suggests-maple-syrup-may-stave-off-forms-dementia-protecting-brain-cells/
We got off to a slightly later start than expected, so it was just boating, no fishing. Out on the ocean, it was pretty wild and we were alternately getting sprayed and rained upon. It didn't matter. We spent a long time on disappearing island; Cassie getting in lots of running and Megan finding lots of shells. The 15 year old Megan isn't much different than the younger version, same inquisitiveness.
We had lunch at Inlet Harbor, as usual, three Ahi Sliders, one Reuben, one ... whoops, drawing a blank on what Megan had. Cassie had a couple of French Fries. Before we left, I took her off the boat and she peed. She poops on the island but doesn't pee ... go figure.
Oh yes, the poop ...
Close to the boat, she pooped right after we got off. I used the Chuck-It to golf the poop out into the water and Cassie jumped in swimming after it ! Luckily it sank. She swam around looking for it and then came back. Silly dog !
Need I say that she's getting pretty used to swimming ?
This guy and his daughter, a little red-haired Zoe were walking the other way and as we crossed paths, the girl patted Cassie. The guy said don't worry, she's used to getting bowled over as they have two Great Danes. I threw the ball with the Chuck-It and the girl and Cassie took off fetching the ball. She must have been about 5 or 6, totally at ease with strangers, especially strangers with a dog. The guy had to fetch his daughter :).
Back at the ranch, we had shrimp and salad for dinner, appropriate after a big lunch. I made a quick trip to Fastenall to pick up some M5 Allen Head screws to re-attach the latch over the front anchor. I'd taken a couple of 10mm screws with me but they weren't long enough. I picked up some 16mm and 20mm; one of them will work. I love Fastenall for this sort of thing.
David leaves today, April 1, just after 2pm. The girls are planning on seeing the Daytona Home Show afterwards -- here's typical Daytona -- free entry to the show but you pay to park. If you don't mind walking a couple of blocks, you won't pay for parking either. This won't be like the Toronto Home Show, guarantee !
It's almost 6am; time to feed me and Cassie.
Onward !
