May 12 - half-way delivered

Well, I got the head tube extension but not the compression plug.  Rats. Lisa will have to forward that to me and it will take a long time; been there done that.

With great difficulty, the trailer is packed.  I couldn't get as much in there as I'd liked.  The bikes take up a lot of room and have to be protected.  It would be better, in some ways, if I set it up with rigid slots for the bikes, using plywood, leaving a center slot open for boxes and stuff.

The car is mostly packed as well but the key to that is always the last minute stuff.  I'm going to be up to the ceiling.

I need a truck with an 8' box.

The work kept evolving.  I had to cover the boat, of course; that wasn't on my list.  Before doing that, I had to take Cassie to a farewell run on the island.  I tried to take it as easy on her as possible but she runs like a fool.  She doesn't know about being careful of her stitches.

More evolving - I got my utilities bill and the water usage looked high but not the sewer.  I know what that means -- broken sprinkler head.  I figured that out, replaced that and re-programmed the timer.  I think that I'm good at this point.

We'll get out of here as soon as possible, aiming for 9am but will likely be later.  I have closed the shutters over the front door and upstairs bedrooms; have to pump up the tires on the M5; etc. etc. etc.  Last minute computer backups take about an hour but run unattended.

Our destination for today is Beckley WV, assuming that we get out at a reasonable time.

Onward ... northward !
