Aug 2 - how hot is it ?

I went for a swim after my bike ride; that's how hot it is.  You have to be a regular reader to know that I don't swim in the lake until it gets to 82F ... it's there or within a hair.  More heat today and tomorrow will keep ramping that up.

The interesting thing is that my feet weren't cold.  Usually the warm water doesn't extend that deep !

Cassie swam out to see me and then swam back, twice.  She doesn't circle around and around like Abby.  She's a fetcher and I'm unfetchable :).

Yes, I did go for a ride, heading east to Golden Valley.  The wind was fairly calm but in my face both ways.

After my swim and cool-down,  I gave the chainsaw some exercise working at that pine that had fallen across the driveway last winter and hauling the pieces to Jason's for Gavin's fire pit.  He'll have to split most of them so the splitter will get some exercise as well.

Sandy spent much of the day cleaning house but did get out on the kayaks, trying out Aaron's as well as getting out on her own.  She found Aaron's heavy and not as easy to turn.

For dinner we had the bass and pike that I'd caught a couple of weeks ago -- very good.

Today, I'm off to the Chiro shortly with a couple of quick errands as well, notably dropping off a ton of recycling.

Onward !
