A month off the bike, 5 pounds of mozzarella added to my mid-section; the 200k tells me that I've got work to do !
It was an easy drive down, nice sunny day (should have been the ride day !). I had dinner with Meagan and Tim; it was great to meet Tim.
Our ride started at 8am from the Holiday Inn nearby (Dick and I are sharing a room at the Comfort Inn). I finished just before 6pm; Dick just after. We got cleaned up and found a spot for dinner (3 brewers) but had wine, not their specialty.
Tomorrow a.m. we have our club breakfast and then the club meeting; then I hike back to Loring; Dick back to Sarnia.
Our ride was wet, wet, wet. I think that there were 7 or 8 of us. I quickly fell behind, thought that it was the month off the bike but it was my front tire rubbing on the underside of the front fender. With that corrected, I started catching people and ended just after Bill Pye, who was the lead rider most of the day. I did ride with Dick and Peter briefly but everyone was pretty much dealing with the rain in their own way; wasn't much of a day for riding and chatting.
