Sep 19/20 - two in one

There's no point in having two separate blogs at this point as the days are much the same anyway !

I moved some rocks, brought down some firewood, went out in the boat, fussed with the bike, played with Cassie, and just enjoyed the glorious weather. It did rain yesterday - right on time, i.e. after dinner in the dark. That's the best rain, doesn't get in your way.

I had a front tire flat when I took the bike out of the car. That turned out to be a largish hole on the inside, i.e. spoke side, of the tube. I can only guess that there was a pinch in the tube and it finally gave way. There was nothing wrong with the rim or rim tape. These are the same tires and tubes from Italy - no change other than deflate and inflate. Then of course it lasted the entire 200k and gave way sometime after packing into the car before dinner Saturday night and Monday morning. Odd. The large hole wasn't a slow leak ! It probably made a good bang when it gave way.

They are still working and doing the occasional blast up the lake. I really have to get over there and do an "inspection" (or call it nosy).
