Rainy days and Mondays always get me down ...
Monday, rain, no point in sitting around ... off to Sudbury we go. I had a list of Costco items that we weren't going to find at Sobey's in Parry Sound, or at least not at the same price ...
We also took in our recycling, hit Canadian Tire for some items (DEF, motor oil, replacement LED Christmas lights), Lowes (looking at carpets for my den) and then, last but not least, Costco. Cassie came along for the ride, happy to not be left behind but not much to do in the car. Sandy thinks that she should be left behind today when we go to Parry Sound to meet Jim and Bonnie for lunch.
It rained all day, basically. There were some "ease up" periods when I could play fetch with Cassie, but not many. I did spend a couple of hours updating my accounts on Quicken -- the US accounts update automatically, but the Canadian ones do not. I'd have to have a separate copy of Quicken for Canada to do that but I don't want to run two versions. I want everything in one place. That means that my TD accounts (chequing / visa) and Amex Canada must be updated manually. The last update was mid July, before we went to Italy. There were a lot of transactions. I felt like I was retracing Sandy's travels, our joint travels and my bike rides (too many Tim's !).
Anyhoo ... I also watched a couple of Blacklist episodes, which I have downloaded. I'm catching up on season three.
Some cedar plank coho was the perfect way to end the day, along with grilled veggies -- zucchini, Melanzana, peppers. If you're thinking Italian, you have to call eggplant by the proper name; if French / Spanish, then Aubergine.
Getting up this morning, rain was pounding on the roof. From the Doppler, it looks like it's passing through but somehow it keeps regenerating. Oh well.
Onward !
