Sep 27 - off to Parry Sound

So near and yet a trip to Parry Sound or Sudbury always seems to take up most of the day.  Yesterday was different though, we weren't simply driving from store to store; our destination was lunch -- with Jim and Bonnie.  It was great to get together with them, compare notes on families etc.  It's the first time, and possibly the last time, we'll see them this year.  Perhaps we'll see them at Christmas, you never know.

After lunch we stopped at the LCBO so that we could pick up two missing cases of wine.  There system is messed up; they only had record of one case and of course I contributed to the confusion, having left the pickup notice on the kitchen island, even though I'd  placed my keys, phone and wallet on top of same so that I couldn't possibly forget ... right.

Anyway, I pulled up the pickup notices on my phone and we got it sorted out.  There was no question that they had the wine, it was the accounting that was faulty.

Then we hit the Farmers Market and Canadian Tire.  Errands complete, we headed back home.  Cassie was very happy to see us !

We had a usual Florida dinner -- shrimp and sauteed spinach.  Sandy had picked up the shrimp some time ago at Tarini's and they were actually good.  Sandy also cooked some rice for herself and I prepared a concoction of eggplant, tomatoes and jerk seasoning, which I nuked.  It was good too !
