Nov 24 - giving thanks

We do have a lot to be thankful for, starting with our kids, their partners and our grandchildren.  We wish that Alex was here with us but expect that he's up there putting in a good word for us.

Today I did more finish-up.  I spent a chunk of time, uncomfortable time, INSIDE, the outdoor kitchen.  I'd waited until after it was in to make some final electrical connections, including putting a receptacle inside and out, as well as adding a number of support brackets for conduit and water pipe.  I suppose that I could have done all this before it got so cramped, but didn't want to assume that it would all fit as laid out.

I also put the clothesline back up; that'll make Sandy happy.

Sandy prepared an appetizer for dinner at the Samuel's.  We head over there soon; it's 3:30 p.m. now.

------------

Great time at the neighbors ... interesting people.  We've met most of them before at various parties that they've held, most Hanukah parties, I guess.

We heard from Jason that Gav's surgery was postponed until 8am this morning.  Ugh.  Apparently the surgery before him took longer than expected (my extrapolation), so better to have a not-so-tired doctor !

Thanksgiving is over but we should always give thanks ...

Onward !
