I spent 2-3 hours on the phone sorting out health plans for me as I'm about to hit that magic age and wanted to get myself into the same plans as Sandy, which makes admin at our end a whole lot easier.  That was major accomplishment # 1 for the day.

Major accomplishment # 2 was sorting out what to do about our downed satellite dish.  Back and for many, many times with my guy in MN or wherever he is.  The 85 cm dish that I had before is no longer available; he only has a 76 cm dish which isn't much different than my original Star Choice dish, which had problems with reception.  I found a dish in Miami that's 120 cm ... huge, like a flying saucer ... but that supplier said that it wasn't compatible.  I didn't believe that and checked with my "up north" guy and sure enough, the dish itself is passive (that's what I thought) and as long as the dish has the correct mounting hardware to hold the LNB, it's that part that needs compatibility.  Soooo ... dish from one place and LNB from the other. 

What do you think that it costs to ship a flying saucer ?  Well, shipping is more expensive than the saucer.  Ugh.  It is what it is. 

Otherwise, it was cleanup / tidyup / get organized.
