Oct 27 - we have fans

That was my day.  Most of the time was spent drilling holes, installing conduit and wiring.  Hanging the fans didn't take long.

These 42" fans don't seem to push a lot of air but it was breezy when I was out there.  Hopefully they'll do the job

Sandy had a hair appointment and now she's lost her lady who is due in three weeks.  That will complicate the trip north as she'll want a cut on the way but I'm betting that she'll be pretty desperate after 6 weeks and might try someone else ... who knows.  She's gotten used to short hair and six weeks growth is a lot.

I talked to US 1 Auto about the M5 muffler and the earliest that the can look at it is Tuesday, so we're a one car family until then and hopefully it gets fixed.  I wanted to do some grocery shopping yesterday but couldn't.  Of course that meant that Cassie got a boat ride (or, rather, a sandbar fetch) so perhaps it worked out well anyway.

I finally made another batch of my date bars.  Not having other snacks put me over the edge.  Other snacks, in this case, are tomatoes, salsa, other stuff like that, not your normal high carb snacks.  Of course the date bars have carbs ...

I'm also scouting around for quotes on a standby generator.  That's more out of curiosity than anything else; probably more expensive than is warranted, given that we don't lose electricity very often -- when we're here, that is.  I've got someone coming on Monday to do an estimate and trading voicemails with another company.

Onward !
