Nov 12 - or 13

... skipping the 13th - how great is that !

We had an easy drive to Pacific Palisades. Even though we left Arlene's a little behind plan, there was no traffic and we got to the Pao's just after noon. We had lunch at a local restaurant and a snack before leaving around 5:30.

I opted for the 405 rather than arterial roads, which was a mistake, but we were at the Avis parking and to the terminal by 7.

That's when things went wrong. Unloading our luggage, I forgot the Little Randonneurs Ontario carry on. We'd been dropped at terminal B and I ended up chasing the bus all the way to where it was just about to leave the departures level - terminal F ? I ran through the traffic, straining myself - quite stiff now - and caught it once, pounding on the side of the bus as he drove off.

It was a slow, cool down walk back. I haven't run in a long time.

That was the only thing that went wrong, however, AFAIK. I don't want to jinx anything !

We've got about another 1:30 before we land, a little behind schedule at 9:20. I've set my watch back 5 hours and that's how I'm mentally going to think of this - 8 hours behind EST, never mind the date issue !
