Nov 5 - success !

Small things amuse small minds, however it does look like I've tracked down the circuit for the flipping breaker and eliminated the cause of the flip (and the A/C is still running !).

Yet another ground level junction box close to the front of the house had power coming in and three feeds out; one to the front, one to that back gfci and presumably the old feed to the dock that has now been capped off.  Why it would run from there around the house then under the concrete pad and down to the dock, I'll never know.  I really need to undertake a mini project to see which breakers feed which circuits.  I think that there are some that go nowhere, since we eliminated the upstairs kitchen and the electric hot water, for starters.  The circuit for the main A/C unit is probably overkill, since it's not a heat pump anymore nor is there electric elements in the furnace, since it's gas.  It would be good to have a fairly complete reference.

I did some bike cleanup; my travel bike; double checking things.  I've got to do my 200k this week so I think that I'll likely use that one and ensure that everything else is working well.  I haven't ridden that bike since the Granite Anvil late August.

Sandy did a bunch of gardening, replacing plants that we lost over the summer.  She took a break from that mid afternoon and we ferried the X5 over to the dealer in Holly Hill.  Hopefully the air bag replacement and trunk module programming will go well.

We ate at the Tiki; Joanne Daubert joined us for dinner.  We checked out the date for the Boat Parade and unfortunately it's the weekend after we leave to go north for Christmas.  Sheryl and Jim can partake in the festivities !

Today we've got a few things on the go -- I've got a chiro appointment at 9am; Sandy is going out with the SYC kayak group at 9:30 and then has a facial appointment at the dermatologist at 3:30.  The plan, if it works out, is that I'll be dropped off at the car dealer on the way to the facial appointment.

... and ... I've got to get packing !  I think that we're going to stay by the airport on Thursday night because we have to be there by 4:25 a.m. for our 7:25 a.m. departure.  Ugh.
