Nov 1/2 - floating again

Ralph came by yesterday and replaced the power tilt motor; an easy job if you know what you're doing (and I know more now!) and it's working like a champ.  Up, down ... I'd forgotten how fast it should actually operate.  Cassie was delighted !

Jim left early for the airport to fly to Philly; Joanne was flying down; Gabby was staying here ... and she naturally got to play with Cassie.  Cassie was delighted again !

I did some more RUSA work early on the 1st, financial statements for the Board meeting that night.  I'm getting much faster at that.  Susan had some issues with my draft tax return so we traded emails and I also got another member, a tax accountant, involved.  Fun fun fun.

I did do some more around here but I'm forgetting what that was ... oh yes, I did ride on the 1st.  Ralph had come over when I wasn't here and confirmed that the motor needed replacing.  That ended up costing over $400 but there were no surprises.  I was prepared for more, if necessary.

Jim (brother-in-law Jim) and Sheryl come down sometime next week; not sure when yet.  We leave a week today.

We heard from Arlene that Ernie's Dad had died unexpectedly.  He was living with them; 89 years old.  I don't know any more details.  I guess that at some point there will be a service in SC but he'll be cremated in CA.

Sandy is hobbling around, having kicked something (not me) and mostly pulled off a toe-nail.  The other day when she went for a walk with Cassie, I ended picked them up.  Cassie didn't understand walking slowly.

Sara posted some great pictures, Zoe-related --

She's a very photogenic kid.  Once she started talking, her whole world changed, as evidenced by the report card.  Great stuff.

Hmm ... there's probably more but I'll stop now.

Onward !
