Oct 31 - re-tired

All days are good.  Yesterday was particularly good, as noted in my mid-day blog.  New tires = less road noise = less crowded garage !  Once I get the snow tires into the trailer, which of course won't happen until we get back in January, I'll really have more room.

Ralph is supposed to come over today.  I'm hoping that we can sort out the Yamaha power tilt issue, but of course I'll have to throw money at it, which is par for the course.

Sandy didn't want to hang around to give out candy, so we went out for dinner, trying out the new French Quarter restaurant.  It was good but we don't think that it will survive.  There were as many staff as there were patrons.

I went to Publix after Tire Kingdom because a) I needed a few things and b) didn't want to have to hide in the kitchen in the dark if kids came to the door.  I picked up a couple of bags of candy and then, lo and behold, when I fetched the candy bowl I discovered the leftover candy from last year !  Once back from dinner there were some kids come around, six or seven, so Sandy gave out a few handfuls.  We now have enough "stock" for about 3 upcoming Halloweens.   Is that like old folk buying green bananas ?

Today is Nov 1.  I'm planning on riding.  Sometime in the next few days I have to do a 200k.  We leave on the 10th.  Yikes !  I've got so much to do !

Onward !
