Feb 20 - more trimming

I keep working at the mangroves; that's the best way to give them a haircut.  More trimmings are piled out front !

We received notice that our Global Entry applications have been conditionally approved, which means that we need interviews.  The interview setup system is good and there are many convenient locations, like Sanford and Orlando and Miami ... but the closer ones are all booked at least through the end of April.  I want to get this under way so we now have appointments for March 7.  There were actually appointments available yesterday but we were here, not in Miami !

Sandy's TSA app is still in the works.  I'll check again today.  From experience, I know that once it shows as cleared on the website, it takes 3-4 days before we get an email.  Yesterday we got the snail mail.  It's a process, not an event !

I've finally got all of the 2017 photos online.  Unfortunately with the loss of my cell phone, I probably missed a few keepers.  If I were to look through Sandy's phone, I'd probably find some good ones to add ... maybe I'll do that.  I've also pulled off the photos from Gav & Amanda's wedding to give to Jason.

I managed to track down the email address for Juan Salazar, with whom I completed my first 1200k, the 2009 Shenandoah 1200k.  He's from Brazil, was going to Cornell at the time in some graduate program.  If things work out we may hook up ... I think that he's in the Sao Paolo area but I'm not sure about that.

Jerry arrives tomorrow; he should be on the road by now.  His goal is always to hit Atlanta around 10pm, get past that traffic heavy area, then snooze.  We'll see him some time tomorrow afternoon.  John Lee is flying tomorrow, but I don't have any details.  We'll likely see him on Friday morning.  He's borrowing a bike.

I took the Harley out for a good long spin down Merritt Island -- saw many Manatees at the observation area at Haulover Canal -- across to Titusville and then home.  It was just like doing a bicycle ride only more tiring and of course I couldn't use the bicycle path heading north from Titusville ... too bad !  The Harley has a little more than 3k miles on it since 2009.  I've put more miles on my bicycle in one month !  Ok, that's an exaggeration ... maybe.

Cassie got out in the boat again; her boat and her sandbar.  Sandy went to the gym again; she's back in the swing.  I went to the gym on Monday and this morning (Wednesday).

That's it ... onward ...
