I went ahead and replaced the lights on the Whaler trailer, double checking along the way that it was the lights failing, not the wiring. The hardest part of that job was lugging the darn car battery up to the barn ! Then, with that finished, I thought that I had better check the lights on the 4x6 as I didn't want to have a last minute issue. Sure enough, the right tail light wasn't working, just the signal/brake light. I still don't know how to get at the light bulb but before I did a whole lot of investigation, I checked the splice at the tongue and sure enough, it was one of the crimps that had stopped conducting; probably salt air ! It worked in the spring but not now. That was easily fixed.
btw, I decided that carrying the battery around was dumb and used the 4-wheeler to lug after that :).
Sandy took Cassie for a walk; I did some cleanup in my workroom; I did bunches of RUSA emails and updated financials for Randonneurs Ontario, wanting to have as many transactions through as possible before the month-end close. That's about complete.
In the meantime, Tony G is revamping the NC 1200k route. Will they still have roads next week or at least, will they still have coastal roads ? Florence is about to hit or perhaps is having an effect already; I haven't checked.
I made some seed bars. We had sausage for dinner. Sandy left this a.m. for Sudbury shopping. David and Vanda are likely coming up this weekend ... what else can I say ?
Oh, Sandy found a place for us in Israel, so that's set. We're also set for France; more than set as I've got two possibilities now.
Onward !
