I know that the day went by but I'm mostly drawing a blank. On and off the computer, on and off keeping Cassie amused (that would be throwing the ball), ah yes, some weed whacking and general trimming - somehow I seem to be missing any major activities.
The weather is getting better and better just as doom approaches the NC coast. Time will tell whether I actually have a ride there next week.
I do have to get busy packing. If riding, there's lots to do before I got to NC as I'll only have hours to spare once back to get ready for the ensuing month in Oz and Israel and 1.5 months in Florida and, of course, close up the cottage.
I did book hotels for overnights 1 & 3 on Perth Albany Perth after Mark gave me a heads up about the sleeping arrangements. I booked the same places as he did hoping that volunteers will take care of getting our drop bags to said hotels. Both have 24 hour reception.
I've been looking closely at Israel as well. On that ride we leave from Tel Aviv and stay overnight at Sde Boker for three nights, returning to Tel Aviv. I've sent Tal, the organizer, questions about the hostel that he's using (like sleeping and bathroom arrangements). There are other options in the small town.
I also setup spotwalla for Israel but won't add the track until we're closer to the event in case the route changes. There's already a spotwalla setup for Perth but I can't see if there's a track attached as it's not active yet.
