Rides, plural, me and Cassie.
I broke with tradition and rode south, wanting to ride the bicycle path. It was a break with tradition because I rode with the wind on the outbound, against the wind on the return.
Cassie romped in the water. We had no island, the tide was that high.
I made a Walmart run, picking up another 12v battery to replace one that wouldn't take a charge any more. I should really replace a couple of others. The one in the skiff is just about finished; I can tell because the voltage readout from the gps reads 12v at best and often lower. The battery minder, which I keep attached, is constantly desulfating, never charging. Perhaps I'll swap the one upstairs at the UPS into the skiff. I have no idea how good that one is.
I don't know about the quality of these Walmart deep cycle marine batteries but they are inexpensive. At $51 net with trade-in, you can't beat the price. They seem to last as long as a battery for which I might pay twice the price.
Sandy didn't do any more weeding yesterday; she's still sore from the prior couple of days. It's back breaking work. She did some flight bookings - Lauren during her break and Stef and Aaron in January. Kylie, apparently, is in Barrie, but we haven't heard from her. We had thought that she went to Montreal but have been told otherwise. I guess that we'll see her at Christmas.
Flounder for dinner. Life is good.
Onward !
