Jan 22 - a day at Disney

We were a little slow getting out of here; Cassie had a trip to the sandbar first.  Well, I need to re-phrase that - a trip to the shallows.  The water was up to her chest at its shallowest.  The tide was very high.  She gets lots of exercise plowing through the water !  Jim and Sheryl came sometime during the afternoon and stayed into the evening, so she would have also had a good time with her "cousin" Jenny.  However, she was quite happy to see us at 9:30 p.m. when we arrived home.

We went to Hollywood Studios this time, had a quick lunch at the Brown Derby and then dinner at the 50's style restaurant, which was a hoot.  Entertained by such shows as Father Knows Best on the B&W TVs, and waiters treating you like family (I don't get no respect), it was good fun.  Are there any other Disney restaurants where meatloaf is a mainstay ?

As always, we had a great time.  Somehow Kim was absent from this picture taken by the Disney photographer.

Over the past couple of days, I've been organizing pictures.  2018 pics are now on my website and I've also been copying the entire lot to google drive.  Today's "swipe" paradigm is more conducive to simply having these files in folders for browsing, vs all the index access that Photoshop was generating.  What's online is still the reduced size version, i.e. 300-500kb, vs the original size that can range up to 15mb.  The biggies are on my local drive, well backed up.

Another cleanup chore was compiling my 2018 rides for CKAP.  I was at 19,512 kms for the year.

Onward ?  Hopefully today I can get out for a ride.  2019 has gotten off to a slow start !
