Update: RVH strikes for the LAST time.
We were advised that my Mom was approaching death in 7-10 days. The 'infection' was apparently antibiotic resistant. This was 2 weeks ago, on Hospice waiting lists, prepping the family to handle her death, calling in loved ones to say goodbye, making arrangements with funeral homes, etc.
RVH did blood tests yesterday and came back with an 'OOPS!'! She is NOT dying. She does NOT have an infection. Her treatment plan is being worked out at the moment...but it does not include a casket.
