Jun 15 - the ides of June

So ?  It rained for a lot of the day.  Drizzle / mist.  I did some closet cleanup throwing away some computer-related items - will I ever use that Canon scanner again ?  Nope.  What about these tiny capacity hard drives including one scsi ?  Nope.  Can someone read contents ?  Yes, but not so much after I hit them with an axe.  If they want to go to the trouble to remove platters they'll find old pictures.  Good luck.

Gavin stuck his head in the door mid afternoon and Cassie went crazy.  Amanda was busy doing a lesson plan for her teaching degree.  We didn't even know that they were here since Chili wasn't around to announce their presence.  Eventually Amanda uploaded her assignment and joined us, chatted for a while and they headed back to launch the boat and go for a ride.  With Gavin living with Amanda's parents and vice-versa, I'm sure that they are enjoying getting away by themselves !

The fire continues to burn ... mosquitoes are scarce inside, but don't go into the shade outside, such as the garage.  There were a couple around while Gav was here, likely came in with him and Cassie, but I spent a chunk of the day at the computer and my swatter didn't get any use.  Once the sun came out, I was out on the deck and they didn't bother me.  The black flies are basically gone too.

The temp is in the low 40's outside and there's fog on the lake.  It's supposed to warm up and, with any luck, I'll get out for a short wheel-testing ride after I get back from Mass.  No doubt that wheel will need some tweaking once the spokes settle in.  If I was better at this, that wouldn't be necessary.

I've been looking at fridge filters on Amazon and Home Depot and wherever these are sold.   Checking the reviews, there isn't one that someone doesn't have a problem with. HD had an amusing "frequently bought together" notice - filters/ok; 5 gallon water bottle dispenser/ok; scaffold ?  Frequently bought together ?  Fridge filters and scaffolding ?   really ?  How many times ?

Onward ?
