Such a little thing. I had fixed, or mostly fixed, the pressure washer during the summer and with some coaxing it did the Whaler and the deck. I wanted to do the back deck before putting the pressure washer away for the winter but couldn't get it started. It would fire and stop. It wouldn't even run with quick-start, which is unusual, as normally that will run for a few seconds at least. So I decided to drain the little bit of gas out of the tank and it wasn't draining freely. That was likely the problem during the summer but not starting now is unrelated. I poked a wire through the gas line and got it draining properly - perhaps some dirt ? Don't know. More likely a filter at the tank end that has gradually been plugged up over the years. Anyhoo ... I drained the tank and the unit is outside awaiting a move to the basement.
I checked out the splitter to see if it looked like the power washer would accept the same replacement engine and it looks like it would. Interesting. For $99 I will pick up one of the replacement engines at Harbor Freight. What the heck. I will also buy a cheapie electric washer as those work well for light duty. Perhaps that's all I'll do !
I did a bit of prep work on that crumbling upper concrete step and might get at that today, Sunday, after getting back from Mass. I don't think that it's going to warm up enough for riding to be fun; quite the opposite from all my friends riding in TX in record heat - upper 90's. By the sounds of thing, they are experiencing BIG wind too. I'm ok with heat; not ok with wind; and not regretting not going.
Five in at the neighbours - Gav and Amanda are up along with the usual Jas, Lo and Kim.
Very foggy this morning although starting to burn off. The outside temp read 42F when I got up and I know that it would be colder up at the road. The water temp is low 60's.
Jeffrey & Sara and the kids move to their new house on Tuesday; truck loads on Monday. Jeffrey was at the hospital last night with long lasting diarrhea. Not good. He was sent home but I don't know the diagnosis. Not fun. Been there, done that ! Our plan is to see them as we traipse our way south after Canadian Thanksgiving.
In other news ... there ain't none. Onward !
