Part of the day was taken up working on that top step. I have to go into town and pickup another bag of top-n-bond.
Another minor project was getting the little trailer-full of stuff to the dump. I decided to use two storage bins and take it via the X5. I did that and then went out with the 4-wheeler and the spray can of orange paint and marked dead trees. Art had marked some but I doubled his list. I'm not cutting any firewood, I don't think, but it's good to have them marked because in a couple of weeks you won't be able to tell the dead from the living once the leaves fall.
Back home from that, I got my two sets of keys out of my pocket ... wait, where's the dump key? Searching through the car ... nope. Dang, must have left that key hanging from the lock ! I drove back and as I parked at the gate I could see the keys, still there. Yikes!
It was a cool but pleasant day. We have more rain on the way and by the end of the week we might have frost. Such is Fall.
