I hung the kayaks in the boathouse; they fit with the Whaler in there but not the Bayliner. Then I played around with the garage door opener for a while and finally got it working. I don't know if it will continue so I'll have to ensure that I have a way in if it freezes down ... but so far it's only gotten stuck up ... so far :).
I then pulled in the Whaler and rinsed it out. It's soooo dirty, needs a powerwashing but of course I can't get that going and am not going to try again this year. Did I do anything else ? (other than the usual PC work, that is ...) ... not that I can think of, other than a trip to the dump. I got rid of the old, old floor jack that was totally rusted and not even moving, plus a load of kitchen garbage. This morning Cassie heard something and barked and later I saw that the garbage can had been tipped over ... too late, Mr/Ms raccoon ! It's empty !
There's a fox that has been wandering the property but I don't think that it's after the garbage. Totally people-friendly, Don can walk right up to it and talk to it, observed by Sandy. That's bad news.
Sandy heads to Mississauga for a teeth cleaning, stays overnight with Joyce in Burlington and then heads to Toronto tomorrow for a haircut. Speaking of haircuts, I'm about two months overdue. At this point I will wait for Florida.
It sounds like we'll be 8 (us) + 7 (Davies) for Thanksgiving dinner. Perhaps we should also do mussels ? That's a combined family joke. For that we need a locally raised turkey ...
We have three or perhaps four sunny days ahead of us, albeit with cool nights. I'm hoping to give my bike a workout. We shall see.
Onward !
