Apr 1 - the screws tighten

Stay at home.  The new normal.  Florida has finally issued its order.  What does it mean ?  It means that business deemed non-essential are closing.  It means that includes our marina.  I moved the batteries out of the boat yesterday afternoon.  I may go over today and do a little cleaning, oiling the stainless steel, because I'm betting that it won't reopen before we head north ...

... or will we be able to head north ?  That's not clear either.

The order takes effect late today.  Will I be able to ride ?  I think so, as it's a solo activity.  Will I get complaints ?  Possibly.

Sheryl is here now, plans to head north on Friday (tomorrow).  She'll take her time and make steady progress.  Other than trucks, the roads should be relatively quiet.  Her risk of infection will mostly be at motels and convenience stores along the way.  She won't have to worry about restaurants as they're mostly closed.  Rest areas are closed, so I hear, but perhaps some are open at least for bathroom access.

Onward ... or perhaps stayward ...
