... and of course by the time I'm writing this, she has left and in fact is north of Columbia. She has Waze going so we can see progress.
The house is quieter now and will be for a long time. Too bad, really. Yesterday, the 2nd, I rode. Today I'm trimming mangroves. Sandy is pulling weeds.
I took the doggies to the sandbar after my ride, the last one for Jenny for a long time. She got a time-out after running off to the end of the island. Knowing that she was out of line, she came back to the boat and sat there, watching Cassie fetch the ball a couple more times.
Sheryl is pretty loaded up but not as much as if Marvin and Sheila were with her ! I don't know how that might have worked.
We are supposedly locked down now but I don't know what the roads are like. Not much more has closed. I made a last visit to North Causeway Marine yesterday and wiped down some of the stainless steel with WD40. I hope that we can get out again but don't expect that we'll have hit the peak by then. Time will tell.
I was talking to George yesterday and it sounds like their food supply is more dicey than ours; our advantage of living in a small town. There's too much hoarding going on - it's not as if there's been some drop in supplies or increase in the number of people - same people, same supply chain, just more "stuff" stuffed in people's houses. Ridiculous. It's one thing if this was going to be a hurricane or snow storm but no.
Onward or Stayward ? We shall see.
