Yes, that's about all that I accomplished. Over at the island, I did my best to cut some of the dead stuff out which had been left standing. There's only so much that I can do with a trimmer, however. I'd need a cordless reciprocating saw to cut some of the thicker stuff. Plowing through piles of cuttings, this time with long pants, I did more snip, snip, snip.
My plan had been to then head to the sandbar with Cassie but rain was approaching so I went back and cleaned up. We only got a brief smatter of rain at that point; I could have gone. Later, however, we were dumped upon and right now, early a.m., the wind from the west is battering us and scattered showers are hitting. I don't expect to get out on the bike today !
I swapped wheels on the bike; no point in continuing to put mileage on rando wheels. I put tires on the Rolf's and will use them for the next while My rear wheel rebuild has held up well; still true. I might tighten the drive side spokes a little to match that in the Peter White build.
The RUSA tax return is complete and has been circulated to the board. Lois has looked at it and had a couple of questions that I answered. I'll print and mail that in the next couple of days if no one has any more comments. I wish that there was some way that I could calculate the number of stamps that I need on it without going to the post office ... perhaps I'll research that today.
Sandy went to OceanS Seafood and picked up tuna and pompano. She's a frequent and valued customer ! They seem to be doing a reasonable business with retail sales and takeout.
Onward ?
