First time in a long time. We didn't get any rain during March, so it was notable.
I love Walmart. I can't believe that I'm saying that. In, couple of items, self checkout, out, no contact with people, perfect in a pandemic. Milk and cheese and done.
It actually rained all day. Never heavy, unusual for Florida. It was like being at the cottage on a typical April day.
Pork chops, grilled brussels sprouts, grilled eggplant (me), sauteed leftover potatoes (Sandy), and another day's dinner finished.
I played around with screen mirroring using the Apple TV device and both Sandy's iPad and my cell phone. It works better with the phone. I'm not sure if it's the age of the iPad that causes it to freeze ... likely so. What this means is that she can watch streamed CBC news on the TV, although she's quite content watching it on the iPad right now. What this also means is that the big dish will likely go the way of the Dodo. Next year we will turn on Spectrum and turn off Shaw, while we're in Florida. Right now we're doubling up on everything.
I sure as heck wish that we could turn off the Cottage land line but calling with the two-way satellite is flaky and there's no cell phone service ... yet ... and none in sight. Perhaps one day. If we ever get 5G cell up there I could do away with the Shaw and Xplornet dishes and the landline.
In other news ... there ain't any.
Onward !
