Jun 10-17 - impossibly behind

It's not the longest time period without a blog entry, but close.  It is the longest time without being on a ride.

Hundreds of emails per day.  Scrambling.  RUSA work on the upcoming reopen, insurance issues, restarting the permanents program, you name it.  All consuming.

We did finish our quarantine (never got a final email or call from Canada) and went to Sudbury for groceries.  Costco was a breeze, not busy at all.  We traveled around looking for manure and plants for Sandy's garden and found no manure and only a couple of plants.  Sandy went to Parry Sound the next day and found both.  I'm sure that she also enjoyed the freedom of doing things on her own :).

She's put a lot of work into the garden.  Days and days of weeding followed by rototilling and now planting will, hopefully, pay off in fresh veggies during the summer.

I finally got out for a 50k ride yesterday.  The gravel is working its way off the new stone chipping between here and highway 69.  The occasional car going by doesn't produce a lot of dust but the one 18-wheeler enveloped me in a fog.  Ugh.  Perhaps next time I will ride to Port Loring.  Speaking of which, I did go into Loring for mail and gas while Sandy went to Parry Sound.

Gavin and Amanda left for Brantford after dinner last night.  They've been swapping.  Kim & Graham, then Gavin & Amanda, subtract K&G, add Jason & Lorraine & Kim, subtract G&A, subtract Jason & Lorraine (on the weekend), add Graham (on the weekend) ... it's like musical chairs.  Chili loves it because she doesn't have to leave the lake :).  Chili is the only constant !

Onward ...
