Not much in fact. I did give the chainsaw and wood splitter a workout and all of that cut and split wood is in the woodshed. Most of the maple is piled properly; the balance and the basswood are in a mound at the driveway end of the woodshed. At some point all that can be piled neatly but right now I just wanted to get it inside.
Some of the aforementioned maple is too long. I realized that as I was piling it. Most of those pieces are now at the bottom (bad planning) but they'll need the chainsaw again before they'll fit in the fireplace ... or they can go next door to Gavin's firepit.
Speaking of Gavin, Chili has new humans. Kim and Graham left; Gavin and Amanda took their place with a one night overlap. Chili is happy. Cassie is happy.
Groceries - Kim brought up eggs and milk; Gav brought eggs and frozen veggies; Annmarie brought up fresh veggies. We've had peameal twice, shrimp, steak, sausage, salmon twice, lasagna and chicken. We have hardly made a dent in the "protein" in the freezer. We may or may not need Jason to bring up some veggies ...
5 more days and we're free ! Monday a.m. we'll have the car revved up !
It's been quiet on the government-checking-on-us front. There were no calls or emails yesterday. We did get a robo-call on Monday. I would expect that their system is smart enough to flag us if we don't pickup the phone or if it's picked up by an answering machine. There have been no in-person visits yet by the police.
Other than the upper body exercise with the woodpile, I'm not getting much. I did get on the trainer for about 10 minutes the other day. Sandy has been working in the garden weeding and using the rototiller. Not much cardio.
It's supposed to rain today; that's imminent. Sailor take warning ... the sky was a pretty colour a short while ago and now the dense clouds are moving in. I'll probably lose internet shortly !
Onward !
