At any rate, 3" is enough for me to walk and work on at the shore where it's shallow. I took advantage of that and cut up the birch that had fallen on its own.
There are some limbs sticking up through the ice and a pile of brush but the main trunk has been cut up and moved onshore. I did most of it with the electric chainsaw but eventually gave up and used the Stihl for the last two cuts. Of course that was like a hot knife in butter making me regret all the time spent cutting at the extreme limit of the 12" electric.
Even though the Stihl was coming out of the basement, it took a while to start. Cold air, I guess and sitting for a few months takes its toll.
Two days in a row I've spent a bit of time on the trainer. I've also been lifting some small weights standing in the flat side of the BOSU ball, which is good for the stabilizers and doing crunches with the big ball. Nothing heavy duty but helps to keep moving. Outside work is good upper body exercise too.
Today and tomorrow are our last two quarantine days. Friday we'll go into Parry Sound and I will go into Loring to pick up mail and some Amazon packages. Just because I'm quarantined doesn't mean that I can't shop.
Gray and cold out there now. Perhaps I'll give Cassie some ball chasing exercise on the ice.
Onward.
