Dec 30-Jan 1 - an end and a beginning

We have much to be thankful for but, as always, we want more.  Time is growing short.  We don't want to be pinned down in our declining years as we'll decline faster being pinned down ! Oh well, it is what it is.

We had a relatively quiet new years, steak instead of fondue; quiet instead of noisy.  What a difference a year makes.  It snowed on the 30th so Sandy went to Sudbury on the 31st with Lauren - to the four corners only, picking up some odds and ends.  The weather continues to be mild, a little over or under freezing.

Departures are like snowballs rolling down a hill.  Sheryl left this morning and messaged us around 11am that she was already in Deep River, well on her way home down 17.  David, Vanda, Lauren & Carter left a little while ago.  There's a possibility of freezing rain tomorrow so it was either today or Sunday.

Sandy is already doing laundry.  Lots of beds; lots of towels.  The washing machine will be kept busy.

Happy New Year everyone ... may 2021 only bring you good things.
