The initial symptoms of straightening and pain from back to leg seem to be easing - but so is the cure of changing position, stretching lumbar vertebrae which almost immediately would change or eliminate the symptoms.
I'm left with incredible soreness at the knee and some skin numbness down the knee. The pain only happens when I stop and stand still ... or try to sleep. My normal face down sleep position is also impossible. When I'm moving around I can almost forget that I have an issue of some sort.
Any googling that I do of knee issues includes swelling, redness etc that I don't have, so it's clearly referred pain, as far as I can tell. A pinched nerve in the lumbar is still the most likely culprit and perhaps this will gradually die down but for now it's getting worse or it's simply wearing on me. Lack of sleep isn't helping.
Poor Cassie. It's bothering her too. I'm up and moving around a lot of the night. Perhaps she should go into the bedroom !
It's been one week since the moderna shot. Arm soreness is gone and there were no other symptoms. In another week I will see Dr again if this hasn't eased and she'll try a steroid. I can't tell if the 2-per-day prescription NSAID is doing anything. Perhaps it's hiding back pain but not the referred pain ? Perhaps by then I'll have localized it better ?
Somehow it seems that if we had more to do other than waiting out our shots and the pandemic, that we'd just get on with life. Perhaps this is a symptom of sitting around ...
Onward ... slowly ...
